Garden and Outdoor Play Area

Our safe, secure gardens offer a variety of experiences for all age groups of children. The all-weather safety surfacing allows the opportunity for your child to use the garden everyday. The garden is fully enclosed providing a safe area for everyone to enjoy the fresh air and exercise.

All activities offered indoors are also offered outdoors. The Junior Room staff offer periods of ‘free flow’ play where the children can choose to use the indoor and outdoor play spaces freely throughout the day.

The Baby and Toddler Rooms also use the gardens daily as well as going for walks in the local area.

The children also assist the nursery staff looking after the plants in the garden and everyone particularly enjoys feeding the birds and learning about insects.

It is helpful if you can provide your child with suitable outdoor clothing for nursery particularly in the winter - waterproof jacket, boots, hat, scarf and gloves as the children enjoy using our garden all year round.

Cradle-Hall Nursery provides sun protection cream and a sun hat for your child during the summer months.

Healthy Eating and Exercise

We are all aware of the importance of diet and exercise to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The children receive a freshly cooked, two course lunch and a morning and afternoon snack where fresh fruit and/or vegetables are always offered.

The children enjoy daily exercise both indoors and out, through music and movement, physical games, and the use of outdoor equipment such as bikes, scooters, climbing frames, balls and hoops.

Lunch

Cradle-Hall Nursery provides a high standard of healthy meals using quality ingredients.  Your child will receive a two course lunch which is prepared by our cook using fresh ingredients on a daily basis.  Please see our sample menus below.

Roasted Pepper and Tomato Soup with Cheese and/or Chicken Sandwiches.

Yoghurt and Fresh Fruit Salad

Tuesday

Chilli Con Carne with Rice and Tortilla Chips.

Melon and Grapes.

Wednesday

Haddock Mornay with Baked Potato, Peas and Carrots.

Pears and Pineapple

Thursday

Roast Chicken with Mashed Potatoes, Parsnips and Carrots.

Yoghurt

Friday

Macaroni Cheese with Crusty Bread and Broccoli.

Kiwi Fruit and Apples

All meals are homemade and freshly prepared every day
