Enrolment & Fees
We would always recommend that you view the nursery before making your final decision to place your child with us. Following your visit to Cradle-Hall Nursery the process of enrolment is as follows: the Nursery Manager will check our occupancy to ensure the days or sessions you require are available. If your required sessions are available the Nursery Manager will issue you with the Enrolment Form, Consent Form and all About Me Form for you to complete with your child’s personal information.
If your required days or sessions are unavailable you can elect to place your child on our Waiting List. Our Waiting List operates on a ‘first come, first served’ basis however priority is given to children who currently have siblings attending Cradle-Hall Nursery.
A deposit of £75 (full time) or £50 (part time) is required to reserve a place at Cradle-Hall Nursery. This amount will be deducted from your first month’s invoice.
Upon receipt of the above forms and deposit, the Nursery Manager will confirm your nursery place with you, in writing.
You will be invoiced monthly in advance. There is a 10% discount on your oldest child’s fees if you have two full time children attending Cradle-Hall Nursery.
Our preferred method of payment is Direct Debit and/or Employers Childcare Vouchers, however we do also accept payment by cheque or cash.

The Over 3’s charge band is applied on the 1st of the month following your child’s third birthday.
All fees charged include a two course lunch, morning and afternoon snacks and branded nappies.
Childcare Tax Credits |

Employers Childcare Vouchers |
Cradle-Hall Nursery also accepts childcare vouchers which may be available from your employer towards the cost of your nursery fees. The vouchers are a financial benefit as they are exempt from tax and national insurance payments, therefore the tax and national insurance amount is calculated after the voucher amount has been deducted from your salary. From April 2006 the maximum amount you can receive in vouchers is £55 per week or £248 per month. Cradle-Hall Nursery accepts all employers childcare vouchers.
Pre-school Funding |
Funding is available towards your child’s pre-school education from Highland Council. The funding is available to all children after their 3rd birthday and is not means tested. Your child will become eligible for this funding from the school term following their third birthday in August, January or April.
Currently the pre-school funding amount is in the region of £1,500 per year if your child attends nursery for 5 sessions per week (1 session is a half day/a full day equals two sessions). If your child attends less than 5 sessions per week, this amount will be calculated proportionately. Your child may attend nursery more than 5 sessions per week, however you can only register for pre-school funding for a maximum of 5 sessions. Your funding amount will be deducted from your monthly invoice in equal instalments. Should you require any further information or if you wish to register for pre-school funding please feel welcome to discuss this with the Nursery Manager.
Emergency Places |
Should you require extra days/sessions for your child at short notice, perhaps due to illness, bereavement or work commitments, we will make every effort to accommodate your request if there is an available place in your child’s age group. These emergency sessions are charged at the normal nursery rate.
